Elementary Cross Country Meet 🏃
This is an OPTIONAL, district-wide, annual event for students in grades 3, grades 4 and grades 5!
On Monday November 3, 2025 students have a single session due to Parent Teacher Conferences.
Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 can participate in a one mile race at Memorial Field!
Students will race against students in their own grade!
Race times and other race details will be announced several weeks before the event!
This event is hosted by the Summit Public Schools Elementary PE Department.

Turkey Trot 🦃
This a food drive that supports GRACE!
Up until Wednesday November 5, 2025 Franklin students can bring in a canned food item or non-perishable to their classroom teacher!
During their specials {art, music, library, PE} students will come to the gym for the Turkey Trot on Wednesday 26, 2025!
The classroom that brings in the most food donations earns an EXTRA PE class!!!

If both parents are unavailable, a grandparent or a caregiver is welcome to attend!
DON”T FORGET YOUR SNEAKERS!!
Only one adult per child, if you have multiple children, consider sharing this experience with another adult in the family… It will be a wonderful bonding opportunity!
Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled PE time, so you have time to sign in at the Main Office, get your name tag and walk down to the cafeteria/gym!
Summit Hot Spot Challenge 🏀

Time: 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Where: Washington School Gymnasium
PE teachers will select 7 boys and 7 girls from fifth grade to participate in this annual event!

Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm
Where: Franklin Soccer Field
Parent Volunteers are needed to help run each station!
Parents can sign up to volunteer via Sign-Up Genius - look for an email at the beginning of May!
